The First Society of EX LIBRIS in Greece “THEOGONIA”, official member of F.I.S.A.E.
invites you to the opening of the exhibition EX LIBRIS and ART BOOKS on Friday, October 19, at 7.00 pm. in the STOA TOU VIVLIOU, 5th Pesmatzoglou and Stadiou, Athens.
Ex Libris and art-books ( livres d’artiste ) from Greece and the international arena will be presented in the exhibition. Our intention is to spread the art of Ex Libris and art-books aswell as creating new collectors and bibliophiles.
At the opening the following artists, collectors etc. will talk:
1) Dimitropoulos Giorgos on the subject: The History of F.I.S.A.E.
2) Kolipetsia Vicky: The official participation of Greece in F.I.S.A.E.
3) Moschandreou Hristos, Founder of the Painting of Christos and Sophia Moschandreou, Exhibitor and Collector, on the subject: The Museum Moschandreou is supporting the Ex Libris and the Art- Books. 4) Nikos Komn. Chatzigeorgiou Director of Publications of MILITOS. Ex Libris Value in Modern Collections. 5) Katarina Vasiskova on the subject: Contemporary Ex libris.
6) Τsaldiri Eleni on the subject , Could the aesthetics of a Child be changed by the illustration of a Picture Book?
Could a Picture Book improve the Outlook of our world nowadays and give hope?
7) Desekopoulos Nikos on the subject: The relationship between engraver and tenant
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 10-1pm and 6-9 pm, Saturday 10-2 pm, Sunday closed
The duration of the exhibition is October 19 – 25 2018 and is part of the Athens World Book 2018. Enterance is free.
