The exhibition “the Human dream” was organised by the Greek Printmakers’ Association (G.P.A.) in partnership with the Municipality of Volos. It is presented for the first time at the Nea Ionia cultural center of the Municipality, inaugurating a promising collaboration. The Greek Printmakers’ Association is active in a wide range of events both in Greece and abroad. With this representative exhibition, the Association re-establishes its active presence in Greece, after a brief hiatus.
Starting from “the Human dream”, 25 members of the G.P.A. and 7 guests engraved and printed for this exhibition, each with the medium most suited to their expressive aspirations. This variety of technique and subject created a result both interesting and appealing to the imagination.
We wish for this exhibition to highlight the positive side of the ever-accelerating contemporary life and to contribute towards broadening the way we approach the future. We thank the Municipality of Volos and Mrs. Drantakis, who is in charge of cultural affairs. The exhibition is supported by the Hellenic Republic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
